"Clavicular", whose real name is Braden Peters, has become a key figure in the "looksmaxxing" community.

The online influencer Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with rape, providing liquor to a person under the legal US drinking age, and drugging someone for sexual intercourse, court records show.

The alleged offences occurred in May 2025, according to the charges filed in the state of Massachusetts.

A spokesperson for Peters told CBS News, the BBC's US partner, that the charges are "bogus" and that the influencer has yet to be served with an arrest warrant.

Peters is facing a civil lawsuit filed by a woman earlier this year who alleged that he had served her several rounds of vodka and had nonconsensual sex with her at his parents' home on Cape Cod.

The woman said she was a minor at the time and also accused him of injecting her with a non-FDA approved substance. He denied the allegations.

The criminal charges filed this month do not identify the alleged victim.

Clavicular is known for his role in an online movement called "looksmaxxing", centred on maximising physical attractiveness.

His online account has amassed a large following, where he streams the lengths to which he goes to achieve physical perfection.

Peters has spoken openly about methods such as "bone smashing", which involves hitting his jawline with a hammer or other objects to get a more chiselled look.

Despite courting controversies for his "looksmaxxing" protocols, Peters has translated his online fame into broader cultural recognition. In June, he walked the runway at a fashion week show in Paris.

He was charged earlier this year in Florida after he filmed himself shooting at what appeared to be a dead alligator, for which he pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public.

In March, he was arrested in Florida on suspicion of battery charges after authorities suspected him of instigating a fight between two women. Authorities later said in July they did not intend to file charges.

After the Massachusetts charges became public, Peters posted a video on X that appeared to show his accuser, as well as a handwritten note.

"Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money," he wrote.
